How StageRight Helped the Huntington Center Improve Their Efficiency
December 22, 2020
The Huntington Center is a multi-purpose arena in Toledo, Ohio. Depending on the event, they have a seating capacity of roughly 8,000 people. They host a variety of events throughout the year including concerts and sporting events. They are home to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings.
The facility originally opened in 2009 but underwent renovations earlier this year to lower change-over and maintenance costs related to their telescopic seating risers. They had been using the same system that was built when they opened ten years ago, but it was inefficient, so they reached out to us to replace it with a more effective and reliable one. The overall goals of the project were to reduce their operating costs and improve the fan experience by creating a studier system that feels like it’s built-in. Additionally, robust construction was one of the primary things they were looking for.
The exact product that the Huntington Center purchased from us was the Telematic 100 Retractable Seating System. As a smaller arena, this product has greatly improved their operations. The installation was able to be completed in August of this year. It went well and was completed on schedule.
Unfortunately, they haven’t had the opportunity to use the system to its fullest extent yet because of the pandemic, but as we move into the new year, we are confident that they will get to use it soon and that it will exceed all of their expectations. The Telematic 100 will allow their change-over from different types of events to be faster and smoother than ever and will set them up for success for years to come.
We’d like to thank the entire team at the Huntington Center for allowing us to be part of their success and wish them well as we get ready to move into the new year!
